FC Zürich has won a surprising 3-2 victory over FC Luzern after five losses. The win came after a dramatic turn of events in the final phase.

What happened?

The FCZ was trailing 0-2 until the 75th minute, then the team turned the game around. Jahnoah Markelo and Matthias Phaëton brought more dynamism to the final phase. Markelo converted the penalty to 2-1, Phaëton scored the 2-2. In stoppage time, Philippe Kény scored the second penalty for FCZ to make it 3-2 after a VAR intervention.

A gift from heaven

FCZ interim coach Dennis Hediger said: «The game was like a script written for us.» FCZ president Ancillo Canepa had explained that Hediger's employment contract is «ad interim».
